‘Rest easy good boy’ | HPD mourns death of 8-year-old police dog ‘Baro’
HOUSTON — The Houston Police Division is mourning the lack of a comrade. Police canine “Baro” died Saturday morning of a medical emergency, HPD mentioned. He was 8-years-old.
HPD mentioned Baro had served on the division since 2015.
“He was accountable for getting quite a few suspects off the streets of Houston and defending his metropolis from explosive units,” HPD mentioned in a Tweet. “K9 Baro will stay on within the hearts of everybody fortunate sufficient to know him. His sturdy need to work, but loving & mild character really made him a one-of-a-kind K9. Relaxation straightforward good boy. We are going to always remember you.”
We’re unhappy to report our 8-year-old K9 Baro handed away this morning of a medical emergency.
