Man hospitalized after shooting near Giant grocery store in Shaw neighborhood
WASHINGTON (7News) — A man was hospitalized in a shooting near a Giant grocery store in the Shaw neighborhood of D.C., police said.
Just before 10 p.m., officers in the 1400 block of 8th Street, NW responded to the sound of gunshots. While canvassing the area, police found no victims but did locate some broken glass at a Giant grocery store.

A short time later, police said they were alerted to a man at a nearby hospital being treated for gunshot wounds.
The Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
