Fallen KCSO Deputy Phillip Campas to be honored in Washington, D.C.
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A bunch of sheriff’s deputies will journey to the nation’s capital to honor fallen Deputy Phillip Campas.
Campas made the last word sacrifice final summer time whereas defending a household whose mentally in poor health husband and father was threatening them with a rifle. Now, he’s being honored on a nationwide stage.
“His title was etched into the Nationwide Legislation Enforcement Memorial. With that, there’s a proper ceremony,” stated Sgt. Along with his title being on that monument without end, anytime anybody goes to Washington D.C. they’re going to see that.”
Deputies will land in Washington D.C. on Could 12 to escort Campas’ household throughout a candlelight vigil. The Nationwide Peace Officers’ Memorial celebrates the lives of fallen officers across the nation.
“Once we go there, different companies know precisely who we’re. They know who Deputy Phil Campas was,” stated Sgt. Contreras. “It’s a fantastic honor. However we’re there to help his household, his mother and father, his spouse, his youngsters.”
