Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) vowed to dam all efforts to ban gas-powered automobiles in Virginia.

His declaration comes after California’s Air Sources Board voted Thursday to implement an govt order by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) that phases out gas-powered automobiles and bans the sale of them starting in 2035. Virginia handed a legislation in 2021 that set the Commonwealth on a path to undertake California’s emissions requirements.
