VDOT marks 20 years of 511 service to Virginia travelers

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – The Virginia Division of Transportation is celebrating 20 years of 511 service to Virginia residents and vacationers with “511 Day.”

The 511 phone service was launched in 2002 as Virginia’s traveler’s info telephone quantity.

The free service offers real-time journey info 24/7 together with incidents, building, highway situations, and dwell stream site visitors cameras.
