Major storm brings tornado damage to northeast Texas

A strong storm system moved via northeast Texas Friday night, with studies of main twister injury to a number of components of the area.

Starting within the late afternoon hours, the Nationwide Climate Service issued a flurry of twister warnings for dozens of cities and cities, particularly on the Interstate 35 hall.

Images and movies posted to social media confirmed leveled houses and fields of particles.

Video obtained by CBS Information confirmed a tornado shifting via Sulphur Springs, a metropolis about 80 miles east of Dallas. A number of houses in Sulphur Springs have been broken, CBS Dallas reported.

A number of communities north of town of Paris appeared to have been laborious hit. Mobile phone video confirmed the twister billowing via the neighborhood Powderly, whereas photos captured destroyed buildings locally of Caviness.

The storm introduced unpredictable climate throughout East Texas. One video confirmed hail falling in Waxahachie, a metropolis simply south of Dallas, as tornado warning sirens went off within the background.

In the meantime, autos on a highway simply south of the Texas-Oklahoma border tried to navigate drenching rain.

The extent of the injury was nonetheless unclear. There was no quick phrase on whether or not the storm had brought on any accidents or fatalities.
