East Texas teen killed by 18-wheeler after getting off school bus
A 15-year-old student was struck and killed Thursday evening as he left a Livingston ISD bus in East Texas.
Troopers are investigating the fatal crash on U.S. 59 north of Livingston, the Texas Department of Public Safety wrote Thursday night on X, formerly Twitter. The agency confirmed the death of the student, but did not release a name.
“At times like this, we are reminded how precious life can be and how fragile each life truly is,” wrote Livingston ISD officials. “It is sad when our district loses a member of its family. It is even more tragic when such a young life is taken away from us.”
