Tennessee teen arrested after fireworks destroy police car
A Tennessee teen was arrested Tuesday after allegedly tossing fireworks at a police automotive in Nashville and setting the cruiser on hearth.
The Metro Nashville Police Division SUV was parked at an off-duty officer’s dwelling within the Hermitage Precinct on Monday when flames engulfed the entrance finish of the car, the division mentioned.
No accidents had been reported. Police shared images of the SUV on hearth and the aftermath of the destroyed car.
Detectives arrested a 14-year-old in reference to the arson on Tuesday morning.
“The teenager mentioned he tossed a firework onto the property the place the SUV was parked, catching it on hearth,” the division mentioned.
The teenager, whose identify was not launched, was taken to a juvenile facility.
