South Carolina adds commitment from QB in Class of 2026
Class of 2026 quarterback Landon Duckworth announced Saturday that he has committed to play for Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Duckworth is a rising sophomore at Jackson high school in Jackson, Alabama. He stands at 6-3, 190 pounds and also plays basketball while competing in track and field.
He chose South Carolina over offers from Florida, Texas A&M, Florida State and TCU, to name a few.

Duckworth spoke with On3Sports to discuss his early commitment prior to Saturday:
“I had an idea going into that visit that I was going to commit,” Duckworth told On3. “One big thing was that we stay in contact and talk all the time. No other school stayed in contact like that. I could tell we were really locked in with each other… I just had a different feeling up there and I feel comfortable with my decision.”
