Oklahoma City Zoo mourning loss of popular river otter

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A preferred resident on the Oklahoma Metropolis Zoo has died instantly throughout a routine process.

Officers with the Oklahoma Metropolis Zoo and Botanical Backyard are mourning the lack of Rocky, a male North American river otter.

Rocky died on April 21 whereas present process a routine veterinary process on the Joan Kirkpatrick Animal Hospital.

Zoo officers say in the course of the process, Rocky went into cardiac arrest and didn’t survive.

Rocky arrived on the zoo in 2016 from Miller Park Zoo in Illinois.
