North Carolina sheriff’s deputy shot while serving warrant in Buncombe County

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) — A North Carolina sheriff’s deputy is recovering after he was shot whereas trying to serve a warrant Sunday morning.

In line with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Workplace, the taking pictures occurred on the Justice of the Peace’s workplace situated on the county’s detention middle at round 1:30 a.m.

Authorities mentioned the deputy was aiding a lady with securing a protecting order in opposition to a person for a latest incident.

When the person walked into the constructing, a deputy and an officer from the Asheville Police Division approached him and tried to arrest him. The person resisted and allegedly shot the deputy within the shoulder through the altercation.

The deputy returned hearth hitting the person, who ran from the scene. He was later arrested outdoors Mission Hospital.

The deputy is now dwelling recovering.

The Asheville police officer sustained minor accidents through the altercation.

The SBI is now investigating.
