A 32-year-old Mississippi man wanted for the murder of his wife was apprehended Monday morning in Mobile County in Alabama, according to law enforcement in both states.

Jacob Kyle McIntosh remained in the Mobile County Jail as of Tuesday morning, awaiting extradition to Mississippi.

McIntosh had been wanted since a warrant was issued for his arrest last Thursday. His wife, 31-year-old Kayle Brooke Crawford, had been reported missing in March. Remains found July 21 near the Movella community in Mississippi are believed to be those of Crawford, although investigators are awaiting DNA confirmation, according to WLOX in Biloxi.

McIntosh was entered into the National Crime Information Center and was believed to have been driving a Harley Davidson Sportster registered to his wife with an Alabama tag. A citizen reported seeing McIntosh at Hardee’s in Grand Bay Monday morning and deputies recognized him and the motorcycle, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
