Game Three Highlights: Baseball – Texas A&M vs Mississippi State

Game three was wild, and fans couldn’t have asked for anything better for the last regular season game of the year. The teams combined 25 runs on 29 runs, with the Aggies pulling out the win for a final score of 15-10. The main thing we learned about Texas A&M this season is that no lead they get is safe. With the current roster, Saturday was a good look at how you cannot take your foot off the gas.

The offense was rolling today, and some pitchers showed some good stuff throughout the game. However, there are many baseball games left for this team to play if they can figure out how to find an excellent level of consistency between pitching and batting. This game gave us glimpses of both, and they should spend the night enjoying their regular season finale victory.

Coach Schloss gave a few thoughts about the weekend and series win

“Considering the way things went Thursday night emotionally, to come back and have a ninth-inning win last night and then play in a really offensive ballpark with two teams really fighting and clawing is an impressive win,”

Award-winning singer-songwriters Tricia Waker, Karen Staley, Ashley Cleveland, and Carrie Tillis will soon come together for a special evening of music and stories at Grammy Museum Mississippi in Cleveland.

On Tuesday, July 16, at 7 p.m., the group of artists will perform “Bluebird Cafe style” for Big Night: Women in the Round. Tickets for the event are already available for $100 for members and $125 for nonmembers with proceeds going to support music education initiatives at the museum. There will be a reception before the show, beginning at 6 p.m.

“We are thrilled to continue our Big Night with Women in the Round series this year and invite four incredibly talented singers and songwriters to our museum for what is sure to be an incredible evening of music,” Grammy Museum Mississippi Executive Director Emily Havens said. “The contributions these talented artists have made to American music history are incredible, and we can’t wait to have them here to share their music and stories of their prolific careers.”

Walker, Staley, and Cleveland were members of the talented foursome that was the first female “in the round” group at Bluebird Cafe, one of the world’s preeminent listening rooms in Nashville, Tenn. Their first show together was in 1988 as they have continued to perform together for select dates over the years.
