Ferrari to add blue to F1 car for Miami GP

Ferrari will race at the Miami Grand Prix with a colour scheme featuring two different shades of blue to mark its history in the United States, the team announced on Tuesday.

The Italian outfit, famous for racing in its distinctive shade of red, will unveil the new look ahead of the Florida race on May 6.

The livery will mark 70 years since the manufacturer entered the U.S. marketplace.

In the early days of motor racing, nations were unofficially given ‘racing colours’ — Italian teams would race in red, with the Rosso Corsa shade becoming synonymous with Ferrari in the 20th Century, while American teams traditionally raced with blue. This custom is where “British racing green” comes from.

Ferrari has confirmed it will use shades called Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino.

The Italian team has used throwback liveries in the past, with a special shade of red for its 1000th race in 2020.

Ferrari did not confirm the extent to which the blue shades will replace the team’s traditional red colours on its car in Miami.

What will the two Washington’s bring to Dolphins receiver room – The Splash Zone 5/3/24

What will the two Washington’s bring to Dolphins receiver room – The Splash Zone 5/3/24

During the offseason, we heard that the Miami Dolphins wanted to upgrade their wide receiver unit, mainly a third receiving threat. The Dolphins already boast one of the best duos in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but no one really stepped up last year when either of those guys weren’t in the game. This past weekend, the Dolphins added Malik Washington in the sixth round and Tahj Washington in the seventh round. Being late round selections, both face an uphill battle to make the roster. Malik was expected to go earlier in the draft but could have fallen down boards due to his size and will probably only operate out of the slot. Tahj is another slot option but provides special teams value. It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Dolphins add a veteran to take that third spot though.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.

MIAMI – Hialeah police are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and a child as a murder-suicide on Thursday evening.

It happened at the Lake House apartments in the 7225 block of W. 11 Court.

Authorities say they found a man in his 30s to early 40s dead along with a child that neighbors say is no more than six years old. Both had been shot.

At around 5:15 p.m., a mother came home to one of the ground-floor apartments to find the man and the child both dead.

Neighbors told CBS News Miami’s Larry Seward they heard screaming shortly after the shooting. They said that they believe they know this family and that they have seen a father with his son.

Police are investigating the relationship between the victims.

Seward spoke to neighbors who told him they had seen a father and son from that same apartment unit. The father out riding his bike with his son and they saw no signs of trouble.

So, they are puzzled by this tragedy.

Detectives were interviewing neighbors and family members.
