Hagerstown Speedway Evicts Truckers From People’s Convoy
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — A western Maryland race monitor has evicted the remnants of a trucker protest that had used the location as a staging floor.
The Folks’s Convoy had performed a collection of rolling protests across the Capital Beltway in March to protest pandemic restrictions and different grievances.
After a hiatus, a smaller group of truckers returned Wednesday to the Hagerstown Speedway.
However The Herald-Mail in Hagerstown reported Saturday that Speedway Common Supervisor Lisa Plessinger requested the group to go away amid infighting over its subsequent steps.
The final of the truckers left Friday evening, she mentioned.
