Judge Tess Percy Stromberg wins seat on state court of appeals

Judge Tess Percy Stromberg of the 23rd Judicial Court has won a seat on the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Stromberg will represent the parishes of Ascension, Assumption, Pointe Coupee, Iberville, and West Baton Rouge.

The state court is one of five circuit courts of appeal in the state and consists of 12 judges with jurisdiction over 16 parishes in southeastern Louisiana, including Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Iberville, Lafourche, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, and Washington parishes.

The courthouse is located in Baton Rouge.

As a 23rd Judicial Court judge, she has presided over matters in Ascension, Assumption, and St. James parishes.
