Saint Mary's transfer Aidan Mahaney reportedly visiting Kentucky this weekend
On Tuesday morning, we learned that Saint Mary’s transfer guard Aidan Mahaney was considering a visit to Kentucky. By the evening, a trip to Lexington was locked in.
According to TheFieldOf68’s Jeff Goodman, Mahaney is scheduled to visit the Wildcats and head coach Mark Pope this weekend. Goodman also reports that Mahaney will take a trip to two-time defending champion UConn this weekend.
The 6-foot-3 guard has taken a recent visit to Creighton and was at Virginia on Tuesday, Goodman adds. Mahaney was reportedly considering visits to Florida and Southern California, but for now, he’s headed to the Bluegrass.
A two-time First Team All-WCC performer, Mahaney averaged 13.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 33.3 minutes per game for Saint Mary’s this past season. He started all 34 games while shooting 38.6 percent overall, 35.5 percent from deep, and 81.3 percent from the line.
Mahaney is considered the No. 32 overall prospect to enter the transfer portal this offseason and the eighth-best point guard, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Out of Campolindo (CA) High School, Mahaney was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class before committing to Saint Mary’s over the likes of Xavier, Washington St., California, Northwestern, Princeton, and Yale. He is currently represented by Kluch Sports Group for NIL.

Travis Kelce Attends F1 Race in Miami After Kentucky Derby Outing
Travis Kelce‘s in his Industrial Revolution era … trading horseback riding for car racing — ’cause he just arrived at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix!
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Videos of the Kansas City Chiefs star are starting to populate online … and, we gotta say TK’s rocking a far chiller — and, definitely more comfortable-looking ensemble — for today’s event.
Check out the clip … Travis walks in wearing a loose-fitting green shirt and matching shorts, backward hat and sunglasses on — a far cry from his full suit and fedora ‘fit at the Kentucky Derby Saturday.
Welcome to Florida, Travis 🤙🤙 pic.twitter.com/cEjWG6UCKD

Of course … Travis isn’t just a fan today — he’s actively supporting the team he’s got an ownership interest in, Alpine Racing. Kelce and his teammate Patrick Mahomes bought into the team back in October.
It marks the end of a busy weekend for Killa Trav who seems to be on a tour of star-studded sporting events.
Like we said … Travis partied hard at the KD in Louisville yesterday and even hung out backstage at a Chainsmokers show late Friday night — so, we know the guy’s been throwing down with the best of ’em.
It seems he’s without his better half, Taylor Swift this weekend … who kicks off more international “Eras” tour shows later this week and is presumably in or on her way to Paris — though we don’t know for sure if that’s the case.
Anyhoo … looks like Travis is enjoying his action-packed weekend — even if he’s riding solo on this adventure.

‘Altiora’: Elder High School grads Pat Kelsey, Eric Wood pose for Kentucky Derby photo

Kelsey Conway sits down with UConn Basketball Head Coach Dan Hurley
Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball coach Pat Kelsey shared a photo on Twitter/X with former UofL football and Buffalo Bills standout Eric Wood, a fellow Elder High School graduate, at the Kentucky Derby.
“Altiora. IYKYK,” was the text Kelsey posted with the photo. “Altiora,” Elder’s motto, means “the higher things.”
Kelsey, who played at Xavier and was an associate head coach for the Musketeers under Chris Mack, was named the Cardinals’ head coach in March. Kelsey graduated from Elder in 1993, after helping the Panthers to the 1993 Div. I state championship.
Wood, a 2004 Elder grad, was a center for the Bills from 2009 to 2017. He’s a color commentator for the Bills’ Radio Network.
