Kentucky Firefighters Honor Hiker Who Survived 100-Foot Fall

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A Kentucky fireplace division has honored a hiker who survived a fall of greater than 100 toes and almost died.

The Lexington Fireplace Division honored Joshua Alexander throughout its annual awards ceremony Saturday, WKYT-TV reported.

Alexander spent greater than 4 months in a hospital after he fell throughout a hike in July and broke ribs, his legs and pelvis, and suffered different accidents. After almost two extra months of rehabilitation, Alexander has made an virtually full restoration from his accidents.

“It was simply horrific,” Alexander stated. “They advised me that I most likely wouldn’t stroll for a 12 months to a 12 months and a half however with God and dedication, at six months, I wasn’t strolling excellent … however I used to be strolling.”

Alexander stated he is grateful and appreciative for the work firefighters do for his or her communities
