GOP congressman dubbed ‘Grandstander’ by Trump wins Kentucky primary

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Republican congressman whom Donald Trump as soon as known as a “third price Grandstander” and a “catastrophe” for Kentucky coasted to victory Tuesday in his main election.

Rep. Thomas Massie had angered Trump by opposing a large COVID-19 reduction bundle in 2020 when he was within the White Home. Trump took to Twitter to induce GOP leaders to “throw Massie out of Republican Occasion!″

The 2 apparently patched issues up. The invoice handed, and Trump endorsed Massie earlier this month.

Massie’s main was among the many first congressional races to be known as throughout Tuesday’s main elections in Kentucky, North Carolina, Oregon, Idaho and Pennsylvania.
