Kidnapping charge dropped, mother arrested after Amber Alert search for Georgia baby

WAYNESBORO, Ga. — A kidnapping cost positioned on a Waynesboro father after he was stated to have kidnapped his youngster has been dropped, based on police.

They are saying the kid’s mom, Tamia Cooper, and different witnesses reported that Travis Griffin jumped out of a window and ran off with their youngster, A’hmaud.

An Amber Alert was activated as authorities looked for Travis and A’hamud Griffin.

The pair was finally positioned. The kid was safely recovered and Travis Griffin was arrested. He was initially charged with kidnapping and easy battery-family violence.

As investigators had been interviewing Travis Griffin, his model of occasions had been fully completely different than what was given to them by Cooper and different witnesses. Upon additional investigation, they realized that a few of the authentic data they had been offered was false.
