Delaware County woman arrested in murder for hire plot
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) — A Delaware County girl has been charged after allegedly making an attempt to pay an undercover police officer to commit homicide, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Workplace stated Friday.
The Mercer County prosecutor stated 56-year-old Marilyn Zhou, of Chadds Ford, met with the undercover officer on Dec. 18 in Trenton.
Zhou allegedly instructed the officer to homicide her ex-husband’s present spouse and confirmed the police officer two pictures of the sufferer.
Prosecutors declare Zhou additionally instructed the officer to kill the sufferer’s 13-year-old daughter if the teenager was there.
Zhou allegedly had $21,000 in money and stated she would pay an extra $20,000 as soon as the homicide was carried out.
She additionally had rubber nitrile gloves and a towel, in line with the prosecutor.
Zhou was arrested shortly after.
She is being charged with tried homicide.
