More than 35 million people tuned in to watch the Dallas Cowboys – Times of India

The NFL seasons always comes with drama and surprises. While Kansas City Cheifs’ fans can finally relax since their team has now entered into the NFL 2024 Playoffs, fans of the Dallas Cowboys are also excited. After facing failure and disappointment after every match, in Week 13 they shocked everyone after defeating the New York Giants and winning by 27-20.

How Many People Tuned into Watching This Match on Thanksgiving?

Even though the Dallas Cowboys has managed to disappoint its fans every match, the fans remained supportive and empathetic towards the team. This support when translated into numbers became 38.5 million viewers who decided that the best way to spend this year’s Thanksgiving would be to watch the NFL match between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants with their families.
For the Dallas Cowboys, their support seemed fruitful since the Dallas Cowboys finally won a match.

Was it the Highest Viewership Recorded on Thanksgiving?

Many people would have thought that probably 2024 had the highest number of viewers tuning in to watch a match on Thanksgiving but that is not the case. Even 2023 managed to record a comparatively lower viewership. It was a Thanksgiving match between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants that hold the record for highest viewership of around 42.06 million – an impressive record that has not been broken yet.

What Does This Year’s Number Signify?

Experts believe these numbers signify that the Dallas Cowboys fans have not yet given up on their teams even though they had a disastrous run this season. Fans are thrilled about the win and continue to pray that the players of the Dallas Cowboys keep the momentum going and as one may never know, also win the Championship for the state.

Trackdown: Dallas 7-Eleven robbery suspect wanted


Dallas police need a name for a dangerous robber who pulled a gun on a 7-Eleven clerk and walked out with the cash register drawer.

He was caught on camera. But it’s been six months, and he’s still at large.

7-Eleven Robberies

What we know:

The robbery in question happened on Jan. 13 around 10:30 p.m. at the store at 302 North Marsalis Avenue.

A Black male who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 170 to 180 pounds walked in and waited until no other customers were inside.

“After it’s empty, he displays a handgun and points it at the cashier,” said Det. Eduardo Lopez Villa. “I don’t know what he said. He just demanded the cash from the cash register.”

Det. Villa said the suspect took the whole cash register drawer before fleeing eastbound on foot on 8th Street.

The detective believes anyone who knows the suspect will be able to recognize him.

“Yes, most definitely based on the video and the screenshot. If you know him, you’ll recognize him,” he said. 

Tipsters can call or text Det. Villa at 469-755-8445.

“I need his information so I can talk to him about this incident,” he said.
