Man shot during fight in Dallas at property training roosters for cockfights

Dallas police say a person needed to be rushed to the hospital final Friday after a struggle at a property used to coach roosters for cockfights.

Police had been known as to Rylie Street in Southeast Dallas for a taking pictures.

They discovered a person with a non-lethal gunshot wound who wanted to be taken to a close-by hospital.

47-year-old Betoncourt Duran was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a lethal weapon.

Whereas on the scene, investigators noticed a whole bunch of roosters that they later discovered had been being raised on the location for cockfights.

The Dallas Police Animal Cruelty Unit rounded up greater than 2,000 birds and located cockfighting paraphernalia on the location.

The birds are at the moment below the care of Dallas Animal Companies.

The investigation into the animal abuse is ongoing. No prices have been filed at the moment.

The Texas Animal Fee was known as to the placement on Monday to assist with the case.
