The Dallas Cowboys started their regular season in dominant fashion, earning a 40-0 victory over the New York Giants Sunday night.
Dallas opened the game with some quick scores from its defense and special teams, then cruised in the second half with rushing scores from Tony Pollard and KaVontae Turpin. The defense stole the show, recording seven sacks to go with five forced fumbles and two interceptions.
Here are some social media reactions to the Cowboys’ season-opening victory:
Early in the game and the season to be taxed with properly pronouncing or spelling Igbinoghene. But he makes it 6-0 Cowboys.

LOL Noah Igbinoghene was the last guy onto the roster a week ago and he scores the first touchdown of the season. Who had a bet on that??
AND Juanyeh Thomas blocked the kick!? don’t ever tell me cut down day doesn’t matter again!!

Wonder if that Trevon Diggs tackle on Saquon Barkley _ that resulted in a DaRon Bland INT return for a TD _ was a message to critics who say he’s not physical enough?

It’s good this game is on primetime. A very public display of why the national obsession all offseason with Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was never where the focus should have been with this roster.

Micah Parsons recorded 4 pressures and a sack on 18 pass rushes in the first half, while being double-teamed on half of his pass rushes.
All four of the Cowboys sacks have come on plays when the Giants double-teamed Parsons.
