19-year-old charged with intoxication manslaughter for Dallas crash that killed man in wheelchair

Police mentioned an intoxicated 19-year-old triggered a crash in Dallas Saturday evening that resulted within the demise of an aged man in a wheelchair who was making an attempt to cross the road.

The crash occurred at 10 p.m., on the intersection of Buckner Boulevard and Cordell Drive in Nice

Based on Dallas PD, 19-year-old Juan Segura-Mendez was dashing in a Dodge pickup on Buckner Blvd., when he hit the again of a Chevrolet Silverado that was towing an empty trailer.

As this was taking place, an aged man in a motorized wheelchair was crossing the road at Cordell Dr.

The crash despatched the trailer into the person within the wheelchair. He was taken to a hospital, the place he was pronounced useless.

Segura-Mendez was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
