One person dead, child injured in early morning crash near COTA
AUSTIN, Texas — A person is dead and a child was taken to the hospital after a crash on FM 812 near Circuit of the Americas early Sunday morning.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the two-vehicle collision near Circuit of the Americas Boulevard at 5:35 a.m.

Medics pronounced the person deceased at the scene. The child was taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center with potentially serious injuries. A third person refused transport.
The Travis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident. The Texas Department of Public Safety is the lead investigating agency. Drivers should expect delays and road closures in the area for several hours.
