One dead in auto-ped collision on Menchaca Road in South Austin
AUSTIN, Texas — One person has died after being struck by a vehicle in South Austin Friday night.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the auto-pedestrian collision at 10:23 p.m. at the 9300 block of Menchaca Road at Sedgemoor Trail.

At 10:34 p.m., ATCEMS said the adult was pronounced dead on scene.
Officials ask commuters to avoid the area and to expect extended road closures for the investigation.
