Cap Metro bus driver struck by stray bullet on route, company says

A Capital Metro bus driver was shot round 2:40 Sunday morning in Southeast Austin, by what the bus firm believes was a stray bullet.

A Cap Metro spokesperson says it occurred on the driving force’s route close to Riverside and Burton.

The driving force was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening accidents and has since been launched. 

Two different passengers have been on board on the time. Fortuitously, they weren’t injured.

Cap Metro it doesn’t imagine its bus was the supposed goal, as an alternative it seems this was a results of an altercation between two different autos.

Austin police are investigating.

“We’re very lucky and grateful that our operator is doing okay this morning after this terrifying ordeal. Our staff has been in touch with him, and he’s now house resting,” stated Cap Metro. “We can not stress sufficient, the necessary function our staff has in our group, however our workers deserves to really feel protected whereas at work.”
