PBC Men’s Basketball: Jaguars to Return to Championship Game

AUGUSTA, Ga – The No. 18 Augusta males’s basketball staff took a dominant 88-67 victory over Columbus State within the quarterfinals of the PBC event. Augusta is slated to tackle Lander within the championship recreation on Sunday at 1pm. With the victory, Augusta improved to 25-5 whereas Columbus State moved to 16-14.

Tyree Myers dished the ball to Miguel Arnold for a made three-point basket to open scoring for AU. A subsequent 7-0 run gave AU and early 20-11 lead with a bit of over 10 minutes left to play. With just below eight minutes left within the half, Tyhsaun Crawford fedMyers on the wing for a 29-13 lead. The Jags would maintain a 40-29 lead at halftime.

The second half noticed extra of the identical pattern, with the host Jaguars main by as many as 29 factors within the rout of the Cougars.  Crawford led with a double-double: carding 23 factors and 13 rebounds, including 3 assists. Chris Britt was 6-for-7 from the sphere, tallying 14 factors whereas Miguel Arnold had 12 factors for the night time. Tyree Myers, Ja’Queze Kirby and Darren Lucas-White every turned in 9 factors. David Viti was an ideal 3-for-3 from the sphere, scoring 8 factors.
