Man charged with transporting stolen Masters merchandise, memorabilia

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A man has been charged with transporting stolen Masters merchandise and historical memorabilia to Tampa, Fla., the United States Attorney’s Office says.

According to the charging documents, Richard Brendan Globensky is accused of transporting the goods and merchandise from 2009 until about 2022.

Globensky transported millions of dollars worth of Masters golf tournament merchandise and historical memorabilia taken from Augusta National Golf Club, officials say.

The charging documents state Globensky knew the items were stolen, converted and taken by fraud.
