Augusta approves $1.3 million in ARP funds for public library

AUGUSTA, Ga. –
The Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System is in debt. On Tuesday, the commission approved a one time appropriation of $1.3 million in American Rescue Plan funds to go towards the system. The city’s interim administrator was also tasked with putting together a memorandum of understanding explaining that the library must repay the debt to the city.
