A fireplace at a northwest Atlanta church could have been sparked by lightning.

Firefighters obtained the decision round 6 p.m. Tuesday. They responded to the Trinity Presbyterian Church situated at 3003 Howell Mill Street.

When firefighters arrived, they discovered a hearth within the attic. They have been capable of rapidly put it out.

The FOX 5 Storm Group confirmed a thunderstorm was passing by way of the world on the time of the hearth.

The reason for the hearth is beneath investigation.

Nobody was injured.
