Braves’ Albies fractures finger day after return

Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies left Saturday night time’s recreation towards the Philadelphia Phillies with a fractured proper pinky finger, the group introduced.

Albies seemed to be injured as he slid into second base within the fourth inning.

The damage occurred in the future after he was activated from the 60-day injured checklist. He had been sidelined due to a damaged left foot suffered in June after making an ungainly swing.

Albies, 25, is hitting .244 with eight dwelling runs and 35 RBIs this season. He’s in his fifth main league season, and he received a Silver Slugger award in 2019 and 2021.

Signed via 2025, Albies led the Nationwide League final season in assists and has made two All-Star Recreation appearances.
