An 18-year-old college football commit tragically died Tuesday night, according to multiple reports.
Dion Stutts, a star high school athlete at Memphis University School had committed to the University of Arkansas for 2024 back in March.
MUS coach Bobby Alston told the Memphis Commercial Appeal he believed Stutts passed as a result of an ATV accident on his farm, situated in the Batesville, Mississippi region.
Stutts was a two-sport star at MSU; a three-star football recruit and a four-star athlete in wrestling. The defensive lineman committed to the Hogs in a Twitter post three months ago.
‘After an amazing two days at the Hill I’m happy to announce, I’ll be joining the family!,’ he tweeted on March 11.

‘Our hearts are broken for the family. Dion was such a great young man,’ He had a smile that warmed your heart when you had a chance to be around him,’ Alston told the Commercial Appeal.
The Tennessee outlet said the Panola County Sheriff Department declined to comment Tuesday night.
‘We’re going to miss that smile, miss that wonderful personality and we’re just praying for his family right now,’ Alston added.
The six-foot-three, 250lb d-lineman was ranked 82nd at his position in the 2024 class. Stutts had offers from Texas A&M, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Louisville and Tulane, among others.
