Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn to miss SEC Tournament opener

Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn is not going to be at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium for the Razorbacks’ SEC Event opener towards Alabama.

Arkansas’ pregame radio broadcast indicated Van Horn wouldn’t be teaching the sport. The workforce confirmed the information in an announcement. 

“College of Arkansas head baseball coach Dave Van Horn is not going to be with the workforce for at present’s scheduled recreation within the SEC Event,” the assertion learn. “He isn’t feeling nicely, however is resting comfortably.”

No particular particulars on Van Horn’s obvious sickness had been made out there. Per an Arkansas spokesperson, there is not going to be an official interim coach. Pitching coach Matt Hobbs will deal with pitching choices, and hitting coach Nate Thompson will handle hitters.

Arkansas was alleged to play Alabama at 9:30 a.m. CT Wednesday, however poor climate on the event in Hoover, Ala., pushed the day’s video games again. The Razorbacks and Crimson Tide will start half-hour after Auburn and Kentucky conclude.
