Vermont National Guard form partnership with Austria

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Representatives from the Vermont Nationwide Guard and the Republic of Austria type a partnership.

Wednesday on the Statehouse steps a ceremony was held marking the start of the connection below the Nationwide Guard Bureau’s State Partnership. This system has related over 90 nations to respective Nationwide Guard’s. The Vermont Nationwide Guard was notified again in October 2021. Governor Phil Scott was on the ceremony and says this provides us an amazing alternative to power our relationship with Austria.

“We have already got a very good basis. We have already got a very good relationship with the Austrians. Now we will additional — broaden that to extra financial and different areas and civilian areas” mentioned the Republican Governor.

Vermont is now one of many 5 states with three state partnerships.

The partnership between Austria and Vermont began almost 30 years in the past with a view to construct a state-of-the-art Mountain Warfare College.
