Vermont Legal Aid director to step down after three decades

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The chief of Vermont Authorized Support is stepping down.

Eric Avildsen has been government director of Vermont Authorized Support for the previous 34 years. The nonprofit helps low-income, disabled, and aged Vermonters with recommendation and referrals to free or low-cost authorized assets. Avildsen says he’s happy with the laborious work that the group has executed for folks, particularly in the course of the pandemic, when many individuals misplaced their jobs and have been threatened with eviction.
