Senator Patrick Leahy honored at Vermont Statehouse

Vermont’s senior Senator Patrick Leahy was honored by the Vermont legislature on Wednesday as he nears retirement on the finish of his eighth time period.

Leahy was honored by the Vermont Legislature and state leaders on the Statehouse for his service to the state.

Republican Governor Phil Scott known as Leahy and “unimaginable champion for Vermont.”

“The listing of the way he’s improved the state simply goes on and on and on.”

Leahy recalled rising up throughout the road from the Statehouse and mentioned the celebration was a shock.
