First Snow Of The Season Spotted At Vermont Ski Resort! (Video)

Goosebumps. I’ve precise goosebumps as I’m writing these phrases. It snowed in Vermont this morning. Yup! It really snowed!!!!!!

The video under doesn’t present a ton of snow, however seeing white fluffy flakes accumulate on the still-green grass of Sugarbush, VT is a sight for these skier’s sore eyes.

Vermont Green coming to WYCI!

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont Green is coming to WYCI!

The club and station announced a partnership on Thursday which will see six VGFC games broadcast on WYCI this coming season, including both the annual Juba Star friendly and the inuagural Maple Cup against CS-Saint Laurent of Quebec’s Ligue Un.

Here’s the full schedule:

Six men’s games to air on WYCI this Summer(VGFC/WYCI)

“To have some of these games be 2,500 people, sold out, and then also knowing there’s thousands of people watching digitally on the streams is incredible,” said club co-founder Patrick Infurna. “And now to know that with partnering with WYCI that these games will be on local television, it’s just another game changer. It’s a level up for the club, and it’s expanding the access to the game in the way that we’re trying to do this. It’s really cool.

‘Sip & Shop’ returns to Rutland

RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – A popular event in Rutland is pairing sipping and shopping.

Sip & Shop pairs Vermont-made food and beverage businesses like Rutland Beer Works and Golden Rule Mead with more than 20 small businesses throughout the downtown.

There are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options at many of the stores participating.

While there are plenty of old favorites for folks to revisit, multiple new businesses have popped up this spring hoping to catch the eyes of customers.

Hali Issente with the Downtown Rutland Partnership says they are banking on this being a boost to business. “It brings in new traffic, new folks to get to see what they offer. Many new people walk in and say, ‘I never knew you carried all of this, and it’s really great to see that.’ And a lot of businesses have great sales during the evening,” Issente said. “With many new businesses opening in Rutland, they’re going to use this event as an opening day and a really great way to get folks into the door.”

Shoppers can take everything they buy or receive home in reusable bags. The event wraps up at 8 p.m.
