2 troopers accused of racist comments resign
WATERBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police say two troopers accused of constructing racist and inappropriate feedback whereas enjoying a web based sport, have now resigned.
The inner investigation into Westminster-based troopers Nathan Greco and Nathan Jensen was prompted by an nameless criticism final month that they used racist and misogynistic feedback as they performed a web based sport whereas off responsibility.
Officers say whereas they had been unable to substantiate each allegation, the knowledge that was corroborated represented a severe violation of the Vermont State Police Code of Conduct. They are saying there was no proof that the troopers displayed bias of their policework and that they each expressed “profound remorse” for his or her actions and apologized.
Each have been on paid relief-from-duty standing since February 15.
