The U.S. Secret Service and FBI on Thursday responded to a video recorded by James Copenhaver, one of the victims wounded in a July 13 assassination attempt against former President Trump, showing a figure moving across the roof of the building gunman Thomas Crooks shot from.
The video that Copenhaver shared exclusively with Fox News Digital was taken at 6:08 p.m. on July 13, minutes before Crooks fired at least eight gunshots at 6:11 before counter snipers killed him.
“The Secret Service is committed to better understanding what happened before, during, and after the assassination attempt of former President Trump to ensure that never happens again,” the agency told Fox News in a statement. “That includes complete cooperation with Congress, the FBI and other relevant investigations.”
The FBI told Fox News it is aware of the video but has no further comment.
TRUMP SHOOTING: TIMELINE OF ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT
Crooks killed 50-year-old Corey Comperatore — a father and volunteer fire chief — and critically wounded 74-year-old James Copenhaver and 57-year-old David Dutch in his attempt to assassinate the former president. Because Trump turned his head at the last second to look at a projection screen displaying immigration statistics, a bullet sliced Trump’s ear, but he was rushed out of the rally otherwise unscathed.
Law enforcement officials have been working to piece together a timeline of events since that evening to determine how and why Crooks was able to carry out the assassination attempt.

Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley’s office released text messages obtained through a public records request showing that law enforcement was aware of a suspicious person near the rally site approximately 90 minutes before gunfire began and took photos of Crooks around 4:36 p.m.
FBI officials told reporters during a press call on Monday that Crooks gained access to the roof of the AGR building by climbing HVAC equipment and piping. He then traversed multiple rooftops before he found his position on top of the AGR building, where he had a direct line of sight to the former president.

Leading up to the shooting, on July 6, Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, researched how far Lee Harvey Oswald was from the late President John F. Kennedy when Oswald assassinated the former president in 1963.
On July 7, he traveled to the rally site and spent approximately 20 minutes in the area, according to Kevin Rojek, special agent in charge at the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office.

On the day of the rally, Crooks parked his vehicle and flew a drone between about 3:50 p.m. and 4 p.m. about 200 yards from where the former president would be speaking on July 13. FBI Director Christopher Wray testified during a July 17 congressional hearing that Crooks had been at the rally site for about 70 minutes the morning of the assassination attempt.

Luxury Homes
The British Virgin Islands may be nearly 2,000 miles from New Hampshire, but John Lynch knew the trip to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands was worth the trip. The Granite State’s former governor, who served from 2005 to 2013, is selling his stunning island home, “Bella Beach Villa at Oil Nut Bay,” for $15,900,000.
The Wall Street Journal, which broke the story on July 17th, reported that Lynch and his wife, retired pediatrician Dr. Susan Lynch, listed their home because they want to travel. “I have mixed feelings about selling, but we don’t use it as much as we could,” Lynch told the Journal.
Measuring 6,000 square feet, the six-bed, 6.5-bath mansion, which is being sold furnished, is the picture of tropical luxury. Tucked on about a half acre on a cul-de-sac, the home is surrounded by lush foliage and meticulous landscaping, all with a prime location on the oceanfront.
Boasting a Balinese influence, the home features a single-level floor plan. Upon entrance from the long wooden walkway, you’ll find a welcoming kitchen with a breakfast bar and a dining space that measures 328 square feet in all. Under beautiful vaulted wood ceilings, it opens directly into the great room, which measures 547 square feet. It offers the ultimate gathering space with a fun nautical theme and a wall of doors that open to the patio overlooking the infinity pool.
The single-level living is a great feature, particularly when one has one children, said Roz Colthart, real estate director of Oil Nut Bay, who has the listing. “They’ve got their children, and they’ve got their grandchildren. They’ve got little toddlers in the family.”
The right wing of the home features the primary bedroom suite, which measures 343 square feet. It also embraces the same indoor/outdoor aesthetic as the rest of the home, boasting easy access to a patio of its own through sliding glass doors and a spacious stone outdoor shower. The 243-square-foot en-suite bath is expansive and provides access to a pair of walk-in closets.
This side of the home features three other suites — all are accessible from the outside and have outdoor showers.
The opposite wing of the home is similar to the right, boasting a second primary suite and another bedroom suite. However, this side also features an additional kitchen, a laundry room, a 161-square-foot fitness room, a garage, and a 158-square-foot storage space.
As you’d expect, the stunning view is one of the most coveted aspects of the home. Colthart said the view includes a look at Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the distance, as well as Eustatia Island, which belongs to Larry Page, one of the founders of Google.
“It is kind of referred to as the ‘billionaires’ playground.’ In property it’s location, location, location,” Colthart said. “I honestly think that locations for tropical homes do not get better than this.”
And talk about unique views: There are flamingos in the salt pond just off the property.
“You get that burst of pink when you walk by,” Colthart said.
Or ride by. The home comes with two golf carts, The Boston Globe reported on Wednesday.

Union City Mayor Brian P. Stack will not support freshman Assemblyman Julio Marenco (D-West New York) for re-election next year in Hudson County’s 33rd district as part of a rapidly escalating fight with North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco.
Marenco faces a tough battle for a second term in the legislature without the support of Stack, who is also the state senator from the same district.
Two sources with direct knowledge of Stack’s plans confirmed that Marenco is a non-starter for Stack in 2025.
When a new legislative map was approved in 2022, Stack and Sacco found themselves in the same legislative district. A week later, Sacco announced that he would not seek re-election after 30 years in the Senate and endorsed Stack. The relationship between the two, never good, has bottomed out over the last year.
Part of the redistricting deal was that Marenco, a North Bergen commissioner and longtime Sacco running mate, would get one of the Assembly seats. The other went to West New York Stacks’ choice, West New York Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez; Rodriguez knocked out six-term incumbent Angelica Jimenez (D-West New York), a Sacco ally. Marenco replaced Assemblyman Pedro Mejia (D-Secaucus).
One possible challenger to Marenco is Larry Wainstein, a businessman and fierce Sacco critic whose parents were born in South America.
Wainstein has run against Sacco in North Bergen three times, each with essentially the same result each time: a 65%-35% loss in 2015, a 68%-32% loss in 2019, and now an even bigger 71%-29% loss last year. But Wainstein can pump serious money into his campaign – he loaned $600,000 to his 2023 campaign – and could win a third of the vote in North Bergen, along with Stack’s ability to deliver massive pluralities in Union City, West New York, and Weehawken.
Still, Stack won’t be on the ballot next year, so his running mates won’t have the benefit of his direct coattails.
Marenco was listed as one of four Hudson County assemblymembers who would run using Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop’s slogan next year; Stack, Hudson County Executive/Democratic County Chairman Craig Guy, West New York Mayor Albio Sires, and Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner have announced their intention to back Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) for governor if he runs in 2025.
