Rhode Island’s common fuel value is down 12 cents from final week ($3.45), averaging $3.33 per gallon, AAA introduced on Monday. 

Monday’s value is 44 cents decrease than a month in the past ($3.77), and 5 cents decrease than December 19, 2021 ($3.38). Rhode Island’s common fuel value is nineteen cents increased than the nationwide common.

“The price of oil, gasoline’s essential ingredient, has been hovering within the low-to-mid $70s per barrel, and that is $50 lower than the height final Spring,” mentioned Diana Gugliotta, Director of Public Affairs for AAA Northeast. “Mixed with low seasonal demand, fuel costs may slide a bit extra earlier than leveling off.”

AAA Northeast’s December 19 survey of gasoline costs discovered the present nationwide common to be 12 cents decrease than final week ($3.26), averaging $3.14 a gallon.
