Former Cranston Mayor Allan Fung Seeks Congressional Seat
EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (AP) — Former Cranston Mayor Allan Fung formally launched his marketing campaign Tuesday for the state’s seat in Congress being vacated by Democratic U.S. Rep. Jim Langevin.
Fung, a two-time Republican gubernatorial candidate in Rhode Island, stated he’d assist finish hyper-partisan politics as a part of a “new wave of leaders” laser-focused on fixing issues.
Fung selected the Varnum Memorial Armory in East Greenwich for his marketing campaign kickoff. He stated in his ready remarks he labored throughout celebration strains in Cranston to rework a metropolis that was as soon as on the point of monetary smash.
