The library is teaching gardeners how to plant for pollinators

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg Public Library was buzzing with a program aimed toward serving to native gardeners.

This afternoon the library held its first grownup program since 2019 known as “Planting for Pollinators.”

Right now a horticulture agent with the Ok-State Analysis and Extension Wildcat District taught the group how one can help pollinators like bees round your backyard.

It’s the primary grownup program the library has hosted since 2019.

“Bees are chargeable for fairly a big proportion of our meals provide. We need to be sure that we now have sufficient bees to adequately pollinate our gardens. Particularly in case you are rising issues like tomatoes, peppers, eggplants. The library is providing a brand new e book known as “100 crops to feed the bees,” which was lately donated by the Wildcat District.
