More than 80 students benefit from donation drive
In S.E. Kansas, hygiene merchandise are vastly wanted by youngsters of low-income households
PITTSBURG, Kans. — One pupil at Pittsburg State College (PSU) helps youngsters of low-income households.
Shawn Harrigan, a graduate pupil within the Social Work Program at PSU, is teaming up with Kaylee Coutler, a Case Supervisor from “Communities in Colleges” (CIS), to get hygiene merchandise for low income-families within the USD 250 faculty district.
The hygiene merchandise wanted, embrace: Small or massive shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, wipes, and female merchandise.
From now till Monday, Might 2nd, the much-needed objects might be dropped off on the FACT, Inc. Store (F.A.C.T. constructing), positioned at 411 East Madison Road in Pittsburg.
The Hygiene Drive can be accepting financial donations by Venmo, with all of the proceeds going to hygiene merchandise for low-income youngsters that attend Pittsburg Center College.
About “Communities In Colleges”
Communities in Colleges has been serving to Pittsburg Center College’s low-income households
for over 10 years, and presently assists greater than 80 college students that go to highschool there.
“This program helps youngsters to get hygiene merchandise and offers sources to the scholar’s households who typically cannot get them, themselves,” stated CIS Case Coordinator, Kaylee Coulter.
“This program has been very profitable for struggling households that want the additional help,” Coulter added.
