Philadelphia Board of Education finalizes contract with new superintendent

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The Philadelphia College District’s Board of Training has simply finalized a contract with its new superintendent.

Members met Thursday afternoon to substantiate the paperwork.

Earlier this month, Dr. Tony Watlington was named the brand new superintendent.

Watlington was most just lately the superintendent of Rowan-Salisbury Colleges in North Carolina. Earlier than that, he held positions as a historical past instructor and a principal.

His contract will probably be for 5 years and he’ll earn a base wage of $340,000.

Watlington will take over for Superintendent Dr. William Hite on June 16.
