‘Crisis mode’: 50 dogs sick at Pennsylvania animal shelter
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Pennsylvania animal shelter says it’s in “disaster mode” after 50 of its canine received sick.
In a Fb publish on Tuesday, Speranza Animal Rescue in Mechanicsburg says all 50 of its canine have what veterinarians imagine is “canine influenza.” The shelter stated a lot of the sick canine will not eat and three have been hospitalized.
“No matter it’s it is BAD. Like actually dangerous. Seeing these canine declining in entrance of our eyes is totally heartbreaking for us,” the Fb publish stated.
The shelter added the canine are being handled with antibiotics for kennel cough however “are persevering with to worsen. So, the remedy plan has modified. Sub Q fluids and Cerenia. We’re treating a few of the canine right here however some want extra intense remedy.”
