Vandals deface mural depicting Muslim woman in New Jersey

HIGHLAND PARK, New Jersey (WABC) — There may be damage and anger in New Jersey after vandals defaced a mural depicting a Muslim girl.

Somebody scrawled a number of Stars of David and ‘USA’ over the lady, who’s carrying a hijab.

The mural is prominently displayed downtown in Highland Park.

Photos of two different folks within the portray have been untouched.

Police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor are investigating.
