Man dies while hiking Mt. Willard in New Hampshire

HART’S LOCATION, N.H. — A person died whereas mountaineering in New Hampshire on Saturday. The hiker and his spouse had been on the summit of Mt. Willard in Crawford Notch, the New Hampshire Fish and Sport Division stated. 

The couple was taking pictures on the summit when “the hiker’s spouse heard her husband yell and regarded over to note him falling over the sting of the mountain down a steep cliff that prolonged to the underside roughly 800 ft,” stated the Fish and Sport Division. The lady referred to as 911 round 10:30 a.m. 

Conservation officers and members of the Mountain Rescue Staff responded. Round 2:30 p.m., rescue technicians rappelled down the cliff and had been capable of find the hiker deceased about 300 ft beneath the summit. 

The person’s physique was carried down the mountain. Crews reached the car parking zone at about 6:45 p.m.
