Snapchat video leads to arrest of Providence man in rape of 13 year-old Hanson, Massachusetts girl, police say
A Snapchat video led to the arrest of a 23-year-old Rhode Island man on a toddler rape cost after authorities mentioned somebody reported seeing him on social media with a younger Massachusetts sufferer.
Jared Soltys of Windfall was arrested by Hanson police within the Nice Road space round 1:30 a.m. Saturday, WCVB reported.
Somebody reportedly despatched a tip to police that an underage lady was filmed in a Snapchat video with Soltys.
Two victims are concerned, police mentioned. Soltys was arrested on possible trigger.
Soltys is charged with aggravated statutory rape of a kid and procuring liquor for an individual below 21.
The daddy of one of many victims, a 13-year-old lady, informed WCVB he was grateful for the tipster and thanked police for performing rapidly.
Soltys was held on $20,000 bail. He’s scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at Plymouth District Court docket.
